There really are plenty of jobs in Mexico. I spent a day helping shock cut corn in the Mountains of west-central Mexico. The local laborer was getting $8 US for his day's work. I worked for free (I was living with the land owner).
I'll never forget how grateful the laborer was when he saw me feeding a cob of corn to his burro.... something he would never do because it wasn't
his corn. Speaking of burro's; Every morning I was living there, two borrows would walk past the casa (house) and shortly return with a horse in-tow. Yup, even burro's can find work in Mexico.
