This may be politically incorrect but I believe in profiling.
In our day and age we have limited resources. For example in an airport if they can only pull ever 10th person out of line and search them do you want them to pull out the 80 year old lady or do you want them to pull out the 30 something arabic looking guy? I pick the arabic guy.
Police are in the same situation. If you see a car load of guys wearing blue bandana's or gang wear do you pull them over for not using their signal or do you pull over the lady in a mini van with a couple of kids?
It's a fine line. Like others have said though if we are in a town/city where our population is about 70% hispanic wouldn't it make sense that 70% of the dui's are hispanic?
If someone is drunk they are drunk regardless of their race. If someone is pulled over and they are not drunk they will not get hauled in for DUI. Drunk is drunk.
