| What Rights do bar owners have against law enforcement hanging out outside? Isn't it part of a liqour license to be open to law enforcement? In my mind a transparent business has nothing to hide. If you serve alcohol isn't socially and personally part of most businesses core values to not allow acts which occur in your business to threaten the lives of your patrons and the public at large. I am saying how many bars advocate getting a DD or suggestions (besides small signs here and there) of the drinkers to call a cab or hand the keys over. It's part of getting back to basics, our community needs to focus on core values and influence the citizens to follow. By no means I am trying to sounds like we should shut the bars down because most of us enjoy going out for a meal and drink but it is part of the business to be responsible remind people "Hey it looks like you may of had too much, do you need a ride home because it would be no problem trying to get you one!"
Besides it is illegal to serve someone who is drunk.....when is the last time you saw a bartender refuse to serve someone because they had too much to drink. It happens and that is the bar I want to go to because they are looking out for everyone not too worried about profit. |
