Is the Hallmark plant inspected by the USDA? Or, is it a smaller plant that is inspected by the State Dept. of Agriculture? Does anybody know? | Bubba,
Yes, the USDA was performing inspection duties at the Hallmark/Westland meat packing company. It is a smaller packing plant. All facilities regardless of size are Federally inspected by the USDA/FSIS if their product is shipped over state boarders.
