Yet for all of FDR's 'greatness' his policies more than likely deepened and extended the depression, yet the US Govt saw an unprecedented boom. It really wasnt until WW2 did we start getting out of the depression fully(really at the beginning of the US Military industrial complex of the Lend-Lease program). Now here soon another of FDR's grand schemes will come home to roost and bury us further, I suppose we will have to return to 91% top income tax rate to get out of this coming disaster. What we are going to experience in this current recession will be nothing like what is going to happen when the baby boomers retire en masse.
