| Thanks AOO. I don't always get the idea that you respect other opinions. It's good to know I am wrong.
The videos about his church and his pastor did not really bother me at all. I think some of it was taken out of context but I also think that I wouldn't want some of my friends/old mentors/teachers/preachers to all of a sudden but considered my mouth piece. I can love, admire, care and even take advice from people that I don't think exactly like and that doesn't make their mistakes mine.
I also am not reactionary to every bit of news that comes out. I'll research it and form my own opinion based on the information out there. I try to keep realities in perspective even in a time of hyper-reactionary political campaigns. I do the same for McCain. When I read about his possible affair I didn't pick up the news articles and run with it. I did a little research and listened to his response and said "yep, that was just about someone trying to get a reaction" and moved on. |
