Congratulations Monster, on your Championship.
Us "little" people who go out and do an outstanding job with their sport should be recognized in their hometown news. Maybe it will show others that this may be something that they can try & be good at and help their self-esteem. Because not everyone can be the "top notched" ball player that people want to read about. Personally, I'd rather read comics or read about someone that has done well in an area (sports, hobbies ect) than read about some person, that gets into the game by their ability to play the game or it's by name association. And that is how they get their name in the paper. No, it's not fair, in my opinion, that we are snubbed and others think that "our sport" is not worthly to read about. My daughter plays volleyball, high school and club. The club team that she plays on has played in 3 big tournments in the Topeka, Wichita & KC area, winning first in those 3 and placed 2nd in a smaller tournament. This is a Dodge City club and nothing has been mentioned in the Dodge City sport section and it probably never will.

Anyway, Monster, again, Good Job and keep doing it because you're good at it and keep "us" little people up dated on your achievements. Because, some of us do care.

And that's all I have to say about that.!!!!
