Speaking of Chernobyl.....

Saw a special the other day on Discovery or National Geo about Chernobyl now that it is 20+ years. They still will not allow any humans to live there, but it appears the scientists were wrong about it becoming a wasteland. The animal life has exploded, and none of it mutated like they thought. Both plants and local animals have made a major population change. The best guess was that animals have a short life span compared to humans. As such they do not mutate or get the cancers associated with radiation because their bodies grow to fast and the cancer cells do not have time to materialize. Nature finds a way.

Hmmmmmm.......if they were so wrong about something like nuclear radiation, wonder how they could be so right about global warming.
