IN 1994 he even proposed to freeze military salaries. We had pay raises of like 1.6%, 2%, 2.4 %..not even enough to keep up with inflation.
In contrast under the Bush administration the military was brought back on line with their civilian counterparts by receiving raises of 4%, 6% and in some cases even over 7% with better benefits, better facilities and better equipment. NO wonder military OVERWHELMINGLY vote Republican. | Wasn't it Bush who vetoed legislation that woudl have given the millitary bigger raises than he thought they should get?
