| more info needed To run Chkdsk, you need to have a space after the "k" and before the slash.
Even then, you should be at a dosprompt prior to trying to run it or you may not see any errors or results returned to your screen- it will just flash back to windows. To get to a dosprompt, first type "cmd" or "command" (depends on the OS) in the "run" window, then hit enter. At the black and wihite screen, type " Chkdsk /f and hit <enter>.
What operating system are you using? Windows 95, 2000, XP, or Vista?
