No - they all banded together like the strong people of Kansas they are. They have built an even better Greensburg than was there. I think it's fitting that the President recognize that by visiting at the most important event held there since the storm. He's simply recognizing a group of people that have picked themselves up and dusted themselves off and made themselves better. I don't think it's an attention grab. He has an office in his jet (I've actually seen the Airforce 1 plans) and his business can go on. The only time he's "wasting" is the hour or so he'll be there. |
Have you been to Greensburg Muff? Have you talked to many people over there? And yes, alot of Greensburg residents left because they were getting ripped off and were tired of people telling them how they had to spend their money. As for his AF1 Jet, yes, I have been in it, know what it cost, know what it costs to maintain and fly. The real heroes and manpower in Greensburg was the Kansas Dept of Transportation. They tore up their vehicles, spent their money, put in their manhours, because our National Guard equipment and most of our manpower was over in IRAQ! I guess George W is probably coming out to see his old buddies at BTI------
