That doesn't do much because it's the "feed a man a fish" concept...something the Democrats do to retain their voting base. A true republican would rather spend money TEACHING the man to fish and therefore becoming a self reliant citizen with a little bit of dignity. The Dems discourage this type of behavior. Name one Democratic program that actually encourages people to get out and be a self reliant, productive, tax paying citizen free of any gov't control?
