Well, you still have to get around and get to work. Most people cannot afford to just run out and buy a new car, even if they could get something more fuel efficient. However, sometimes a larger vehicle is required for various reasons. The increase in freight costs, transportation costs, jet fuel costs, is increasing the price of just about everything that we require (including food)!
