My heart goes out to your wife and you! I have two who have been our friends and family for years. I know the day will come, but I also know that I won't be able to handle it at all, let alone well! These two (Runt and Brute) came into out lives when things were not well at all. They helped us get through some very bad times, but were right there with us! It seems that they know how we feel before we do! And they always have a "lick" to let you know that they are there with us! They are family and there is no doubt about it. We had the great pleasure of watching these two when they were born. WE have watched them as they have grown. They have been with us thru good times, and bad. Not once have they complained! I know that for some people this is hard to understand. I also know that there are some people out there who get some sick kind of pleasure watching them fight, and of harming them, themselves. These "people" are sickos. These people are the animals who in my opinion should be put up against a wall and shot! These animals who we call family, are better people, then some people are! The thing about our pets is, they love us unconditionally and ask nothing in return! We certainly can not say that about most people! Some think that I have lost my mine when I tell them that I believe that our pets will be in heaven just waiting for us! The love our pets have for us is a "pure" love and I really believe that if for no other reason, this would be a ticket into heaven! So unlike, quite a few "human animals" who prey on others, just for the fun of it! FD, we understand your loss and how you both feel. Many others fell the same way! May your loved ones rest in peace!  |
