| There are two things that I know of that make coyotes brave toward humans.
One is hunger. The hungrier they get the braver they get. Keeping small pets outside will protect your children a little.
The other is familiarity. Once they get used to being around people and realize that these city dwellers are not threatening them, the kids start looking mighty tasty. |
