With distances in Kansas so great between cities, it will impact us as much or more than the bigger cities where there is mass transit. We have no options but to drive or stay home.

We are cutting out most of our entertainment/recreational activities. Movies, dining out, travel to less ball games, etc. The effect is real and measurable on us. Don't drive a huge gas guzzler (SUV,etc), but the next vehicle purchase will definately be more efficient.
