Question -

According to the Onion, the last message from Corcoran was received in 1978 stating: "Records indicate the message was received from 37 degrees 42 minutes north latitude and 97 degrees 20 minutes west longitude". I'll have to calculate where that is, I guess.

Did we have GPS and electronic locating capabilities in 1978? Also, he was last seen by surveillance cameras buying some supplies. Must have been one of those 8-tracks I've heard about...?
