| I would have to agree with you, AOO - I believe the skyrocketing price of oil is due to a number of greedy business people who believe in the "freedom" of the American People - you know: the freedom to drive one per car 30 minutes or more to work or drive home during the lunch hour (30 Minutes each way) just to get a sandwich, when sandwiches are available next door to the office, but it costs $2.00. The freedom of people to drive one per car 50 minutes or an hour (more during rush hour) to meet four other buddies (who also drove one per car) to see a ball game, when it would have cost nothing except the beer to stay home and watch the same game on TV.
We all make choices and it's good business for the oil companies to dial into those choices and make us pay for them. We had layoffs in our office last summer and have sung the blues ever since. I just hired 3 newbies on my team - one was hired simply because she was out of a job and we didn't want her to go to a competitor. Don't tell me jobs aren't out there for the right people doing the right things.
Yep, this economy is a drag, but all we have to do is muddle through to the other side of the clouds to see the rainbow. It's there - we're being spoon-fed too many dark clouds to see through them. We are a proud people. Proud people don't point the finger of blame. They continue doing what they're doing to make it better. (do I hear Lee Greenwood in the background?)
