"The World deserves nothing from the USA" - Well if the US wants to act as the World's Policeman it's logical to expect justice and fair-play isn't it?
How old is McCain? The baton is being passed backwards not forward. Doesn't the US want to move forward? If it does then it needs a Democrat President, preferably Obama, thats just my opinion, of someone who cares about the US and its people, and who is tired of the incompetence of the Bush administration.

If not for the USA and OUR fighting men and women you would have a swastika brand on your ass and a number tattooed on your damn arm. NOW, maybe you owe US something?
An ignorant remark if I may say so ksgrainman. Britain had been fighting the Nazi's & the Italians single-handedly from 1939, the US didn't enter the war until 1941 when Hitler declared war on the US! France, Holland, Belgium, Poland had fallen and the rest of Europe was under the heel of the fascist jackboot.
Sure brave US fighting men & women fought alongside their British, Canadian, & Australian allies - we were all engaged in a very defining world war that pitted the forces of freedom & democracy against dark evil forces of fascist tyranny. But let us not forget that every dollar & cent lent to Britain under Lend-Lease had to be repaid with interest and it wasn't until December 2006 that Britain was able to finally make its last repayment of $83m to clear the debt - over 60 years since the end of WW2! So you're right in one sense ksgrainman, we did owe the US something! A hell of a lot of money!!

Let us not also forget that certain people & companies within the US were deeply involved in supporting the rise of the Nazi's.
Bush's grandfather was involved right up to 1942!

Henry Ford, the automobile manufacturer, James D. Mooney, the General Motors manager and Tom Watson, the IBM boss, were all awarded the Grand Cross of the German Eagle, the Nazis' highest distinction for foreigners, for their services to the Third Reich.
