If you think drilling ANWAR will drop the price of a barrel of oil, I've got some land to sell you. With oil on it. Wanna buy it? Drilling ANWAR is a red herring. It's effect on the price of a barrel of oil is nil. Zip. Zero. Nada.

It is very much about who protected the area if you're going to spend your time whining about not being able to drill it. I also think we had national security risks in 1960. See Cuba, red scare, Sputnik, etc.

"They" want to drill ANWAR for money. Nothing else.
I tried calling them to tell them, but they are only accepting calls from tree-hugger these days. You know, the people responsible for the high oil prices.
