A couple of things to remember when investing.
Anyone selling securities in Kansas has to be registered in Kansas with the Securities Commissioner.
Anyone taking money for investment advice must be registered in Kansas.
The investments themselves must also be registered.
There are some exemptions or loopholes but they are easily checked out.
If you have investments or are thinking about getting into them you can call the Office of the Kansas Securites Commissioner and they can tell you if the person selling and the investment opportunity are registered.
They also can tell you if the person or company you are dealing with are legitimate and if they are they can tell you how many and what kind of complaints are on their record.
I check out EVERYTHING.

They are the ones that do the "Billy" commercials. I don't know if those are playing out in Dodge or not but we see them all the time here.
