| Shift schools is an idea that's been kicked around for quite a while. It would reduce the need for additional buildings, but increase the cost of utilities. From what I've always heard about that issue, people aren't quick to jump on the bandwagon because there is still a big farming contingent in Southwest Kansas and people want their kids to be home to help in the summer. My thought is to make sure the farm kids have the traditional schedule. I think it would work, although it's a hard issue in Kansas...........
