I am too! It's either 1 of 2 things: he's a newbie and afraid to offend any of us - we'll get the real story later, or he really does think that way.

Back to earth..........I imagine his tongue was firmly planted in his cheek. And he doesn't care about offending anybody, he just didn't want to at that particular point.
Either way, he's one of the bunch now!
