Yeah I got that impression to. Year round school seems to be loved by those that actually have done it. I have heard that stats support year round because of the "constant" learning mode (no 3 month break)
Now for shifts......(day evening and night) That isn't soundin to good to me. Maybe if school started earlier so shift workers could get to work or started later for some. If you are running "shifts" your gonna need more teachers. You are talkin bout a whole new crew of teachers - not likely I would say. Ya know lots of our parents worked shifts and truth is usually those parents worked nights or days - they need to be lookin at studies regarding the best times for kids to learn - NOT the best time for mom and dad. If mom and dad need to work opposite shifts - too bad - lots of folks do and make it work. Not every thing is about what these parents want to make thier life easier. Parents need to pick up on the responsibility of raising what they brought into this world and quite whinin that everyone else needs to change for them.
I worked shifts at times but took less pay to work days - M-F when I was raisin kids. It's what ya do.
For
DC - here's my guess. There won't be "shift" school. Ya'll will hire more teachers aides to babysit these kids cause the parents need someone to help raise them. Comprimise isn't something these parents.....(yes these parents!!) are willing to do - so once again the masses need to help the workers raise thier kids. Think of all the extra bus drivin jobs commin up!!! Hang on to ya'lls wallet.............
