Seriously ( I know, being serious ), what originally brought me to Dodge City many moons ago, was the fact that it was a small, quiet little town. It was perfect for raising a family, and avoiding the perils of the larger, more hectic cities. As for having nothing to do, it never seemed that way because we were always involved with the kids activities, our jobs, church, or civic activities. We came to know a lot of people, made a lot of friends, and enjoyed the community. If I were making that decision today, I am sure the outcome would be different.

Not to change the subject but I think kids today are very high maintenance.

Things are not that much different now than when I was a kid other than we had a skating rink instead of All-4-fun. We went to the movies, hug out at the mall, went swimming and to the skating rink.

Something I hear from the kids today that I'd never been stupid enough to say to my parents was "I'm bored." We learned to entertain ourselves.
