I don't mean to be a nay sayer Bubba - but don't you think it's best to spend money on things you already have? Dodge isn't going to be revamped by an overgrown arcade. Kids aren't gonna respect it anymore than they already respect other things in town. I remember the same thing was said about the Alley - "the kids need something wholesome to do" the new pool - "families need someplace to go" - revamping the park - "family place and preservation of historical site"........... all are places to go - I just think the places already in exixtance otta be cared for first before going full steam into something new. Sometimes providing someplace to go isn't gonna fix the woes of the community with the gang activity - and if the gangs are tagging everything around why not direct your focus and $$ to eleminating a problem instead of creating new canvass for the old one?

I have no say on what you spend my little measly contribution on - I'm not in the big picture - just voicin a thought - whether it's a good one or not! I'm sure the fun plex will be lovely and appreciated by those that go and don't go.

All-4-Fun is already in existance. Like I have tried to say before, if it wouldn't have been for the very high taxes, it would have made money, since the city doesn't pay taxes, I would say that it has a very good chance of breaking even if not making a little money for the city.

Maybe so but I'll bet ya - the city drops money into it for "reovation" before they open it - so it will open without a chance in hell of turnin a profit. I hope it does well - I just think tax $$ otta be spent on improving the city before we start buyin games for the bangers to play.

Have you even been to it when it was open? I never saw any bangers there, it was a well-run, family-oriented establishment from all that I saw or heard about it.

Yep took my grandkids there - once - the rides were short, the main attraction was the playground inside, - the food was high priced and I was glad when it was over. I persoanlly felt it was too small. - the kids that were working the night I took my grandkids were too busy playin grabass to pay attention. Nope I wasn't impressed. May I add that's been a few years back - the kids wanted to go back but the truth is I felt that droppin close to $100 on about 3 hours was a bit much! The younger child had very little to do - other than plunk quarters and play inside.

what do you all think of DC considering the jetmore bunch to run the DC race track? wouldn't jetmore first have to tear down ther facility? why would the commish even consider handing them our tax dollars to help them fund their track. Also didn't two of the jetmore motorplex owners file bankruptcy in the last 12 months? is this good or bad for DC

Actually the one time I went there when I first got here...I took my "little brother" and to be honest with you there wasn't too many people there period.
