| Are gun-free zones really a good idea? Let all of those people foolish enough to think "gun-free zones" are a good idea do one simple thing: hang a big, bold sign outside their home in big, bold letters saying: GUN FREE ZONE! as big, bold proof of their own personal commitment to "gun-free zones". That is what we are doing with our Schools. Utah did away with that. |

| When folks go on vacation they stop the mail and paper and put lights on timers so the bad guys will thin someone might be home. Why? Because they know if someone is home they might get shot. A gun free zone is like having a weeks worth of newspapers in the driveway.

| Gun-free zone equals unarmed-victim zone Are gun-free zones really a good idea? First of all, there is no such area UNLESS it’s secured, as is the case at airports and some courthouses (not ours) where everyone steps through metal detectors and officers check patrons. Let us be real. |

| speaking of gun-free zones.....there was a shooting (they think gang-related)in an outside mall in Leawood this afternoon. Very scary. Glad I wasn't there (stepson's ball game), but it's unimaginable. This is a mall that caters to Leawood residents (rich people). unbelievable.
