| City aquires Bogner land -- votes for Butler National Yup, need-less-to say, the city annexed Bogner's land, then -- before the publication of the annexation ordinance -- thus not legal -- voted to approve Butler National Services Gaming -- no Boot Hill Gaming presented -- although named ... weird. Butler needs 1,000,000 visits to the casino each year to make it -- yes, that was one million -- guess about half will be Latino so more good Spanish food and of course, another steak house. Every adult in 22 counties has to come 10 times or so to make that number. Duh........ what can you say, but money will be made in BUILDING the casino, but after that -- who cares. 90 percent of the profit (gross) will leave Ford County right away. Hey, high rollers of SW Kansas (huh ?) there will be five, yes count them 5 suites in the new hotel. Oh, Boy. |

| Ok, while I do not have exact figures I can say that unless you have ran a casino, or worked the numbers of one, you do not have any idea what it makes. My father worked 38 years in Vegas and is now in OK City running a small casino. This is an Indian casino which has different rules, but the money they make is the same. This casino has 6 tables and about 200 slot machines plus has other casino's within 5 miles of it, no hotel, no destination style, nothing but a hole in the wall operation, and it NETS (after paying taxes and costs) close to 5 mil a year. That is 5 mil that they have to return to the gamblers because of their weird laws, but that is mad money. That is money above everything, the casino makes close to 20 mil a year. The money this casino here will make will truly blow your pessimistic minds.

| Anoynmous.... just a heads up. Annexations that are brought about when a property owner requests it don't have to go before public hearing. According to Kansas law, if you want your land annexed and it fits certain criteria, you get it done in one fell swoop. And as for the approval of a casino on Bogners land, it's not actually up to our commission who gets the contract. The next three or four hurdles have to go through the Kansas Gaming Commission? How do I know so much? I'm a political junky. Even local.

| hockychump, Tell us (me) what you think of the Ks. supreme court sending our AGs' friendly lawsuit to a lower court. (as it should have been done in the first place) My two cents worth...(glad you asked)...this blunder on Morrisons part cost the gaming industry and investors time and money. (not that I support either one) I think (to me) it made him look incompentent. He said he went first to the supreme court to save time, but in all actuality it cost more time and money. Your thoughts...?
