| Scientific theory defined Scientific Laws, Hypotheses, and Theories - The Scientific Method is one nice source. People always seem confused about the meaning of theory versus belief -- one can be proven through facts -- one can't. |

| Guess you don't believe in atomic theory either ? I mean you can't see atoms -- nor ions, isotopes -- just a guess, huh... ? (Atomic bomb faked, huh ? Just burning metals ?) And that background radiation in the universe -- I know -- fake too ? Hey, can't see it, except for that static on old TVs -- Gee, must a simple life, believing what you want, no proof necessary. Universe 6,000 years old, huh ? Like that ? |

| "If there were no religion the Twin Towers would still be standing." Wordsmythe, That is the most ignorant statement I've seen in a long time. A more accurate statement might be: If there were no religion there would be no muslims, and the twin tower would still be standing! 9/11 did not happen because of religion, it happened because of a PARTICULAR RELIGION and the acts of those who follow those religious beliefs. |

| Register and talk about it otherwise your opinion doesn't count.

So I take it you disagree with my previous post? I guess I did come down on you in an inapropriate manner. I do apologize for that! Seriously though hasn't all the problems being blamed on religion actually have been caused by one specific religion and not religion as a whole? I think the same theory holds water for politicians, doctors and lawyers, etc. (One politician who screws up does not make all politicians corrupt) So to say, "If there were no religion the Twin Towers would still be standing" is implying that religion caused 9/11. That is not true! Contary to popular belief, one bad apple does not always make the entire barrel rotten. |
