I haven't talked to anybody that thought bringing Beckley in was a good move! Most people still remember the $hitty job he did at the last track, and the "Circus" he will bring to town.

They ought to give Ed K. more of that money that they are giving Beckley. At least Ed works at it, and puts on some nationally recognized tournaments.

with or without Beckley ? What's the choice ?

Some like him, some don't -- I would suggest that all agree he is a promoter. And that the prize money put up by CFAB is necessary to get the track going again.

With only a few hundred people on a race night last summer, etc., the track needs major promotion, don't you think ?

I'm just glad to see the track problems addressed and off of the table, as it were.

The Events Center is now the main issue, as it should be. Hope the Dodge City Commissioners do ask for that 33 acres to be donated by Butler. Hope the Judge allows the city to spend millions to help the casino -- wait, that isn't legal. Oh well.
