    Thanks for your input U/R.

Are you talking about the surgicenter that's there next to the women's center, or the new one out in summerlawn? They've owned the one there across the street from them for quite a while. I believe that's when it became WPMC, which is comprised of WPRH, the surgicenter, the Women's Center, and the Occ Health center.

Wpmc bought the one on Summerlon. Dodge City Surgery Center. It was the one Dr. Neel and others built. Probably trying to take out the competition by buying them.

I know talk of buying the competition makes for much better gossip, but I highly doubt this would be the case.

As a person who deals with this quite often I'm pretty sure it, if true, would be a mutual agreement. After all, no business that is doing well is going to sell at any price. I would be more inclined to believe a business is having problems collecting for services. This is a typical problem in health care especially in our city.

I've heard that at the hospital, for example, 40% of the people who come in can not be billed due to giving false information. That leaves the other 60% to foot the bill. We have the "bleeding hearts" to blame for free health care to the 40% willing to give false information. They like to portray little 9 year old Billy coming to the ER with a broken arm, and unable to get care because of no proof of eligibility to pay the bill. The reality is closer to Jose coming in with a tooth ache, and his parents don't want to take him to a dentist or clinic because they are still able to require proof of the ability to pay.

We already have free health care, but it's only free to those who abuse the system, and the rest of us pick up the bill.

Isn't there talk of Anheuser Bush (Budweiser) selling to a firm in Belgium?

I think if the money is there a sale would be made.
