Illness

Posted 03-05-2008 at 03:37 PM by jeezeweeze
Well I am finely kinda sorta feeling better altho not 100 % yet.

I get these upper-respiratory infections about every 3 to 4 years, but as I get older I find they linger longer.
I have no energy and breathing is still difficult but I finely ventured to the grocery store today and just standing in line I heard folks talking about how sick everyone in town is. Some have flu and some have this crap I have.
I did take a round of antibiotics and over the counter cough meds. I think the best thing is Vicks vapor rub, to just open the passages and make breathing easier.
I guess anyway. Who knows for sure. I felt so close to deaths door I think anything would have helped.

On the plus side JW, be glad you got the antibiotics instead of a doctor that just dismissed the problem as a smoker’s cough. (I’ve been there.)

I can’t prove it helps, but I like to take 1000mg of vitamin C along with a multi V in the morning and wash it down with some OJ.

I hope you feel better soon.

PS: Try to avoid people that are pigs and don't wash their hands.

    Me too hwy

I don't know what would have happened if I didn't take V-C with rose hips and a Multi daily. I swear by those.

I am still short of breath just walking to the kitchen and still have some of the dry hacky cough at night that wakes me up...... but its a little better each day.

Of course it would be blamed on smoking.... however how do they explain this same illness to folks that have never smoked.

Non-smokers get to have the real illnesses that smokers must be immune to.

JW, I wish you would have let me know, I or my son would have shopped for you. Also, I have this "breathing machine" which is brand new and the meds that go with it. If you think it would help, I could bring it to you! Let me know, ok?
