What do our members want?

Now that we have completed the BIG upgrade to the new software, we have some extra time to spend on add-ons. The Admins want to know what you, the members would like. Some things we can do quite easily, others not so easily. So if it can be done, we will consider it. The poll lists the easy tasks. Don't be afraid to suggest other ideas.

So please give us your ideas for what you think would make DodgeBoard a better board.

I think many of us already feel like a kid in a candy shop. Got more bells and whistles then some of us know what to do with.

What are you referring to with “More Styles”? Would that be type fonts and sizes or something else?

Does the poll allow for multiple selections?

Looks like ya gotta vote twice to vote for more than one - I'll wait to see if admin gives us more than one choice. If not I'll pull an "immagrant" vote

Styles refer to the skin that you use to browse DodgeBoard.com. Many of you may not even be aware that DodgeBoard has many alternate skins to choose from. You can select them down at the bottom of the screen from the drop down selection box. Depending on which skin you currently use, this drop down box may be in different locations.

Some choices are: Autumn, Default, Blue Pearl, Black/Gold, Red/Silver and one that is currently in the process is Western. I hope to be done with it soon.

NOTE: You can set your default skin in your userCP.

I like thw Western theme - easy to read, cowboy action in the corner, - it's nice. My boxes got X's in em tho...... am I missin pictures?

Well I need to recant that - the screen is too wide for my monitor, when I click "top" and try to click back to new posts it wipes out the options all together..... I think there's some bugs hangin around..... goin back to my default but sure do like the concept!

I’m voting for more contests. Not advocating we have to have prizes, especially cash because that might limit the number and frequency of contests. Just do it for the fun of solving some kind of puzzle. They don’t have to all be up to Admin either, any member could start one. That opens the door for Admin to play too. Someone could hide something around town and give clues. For the displaced folks someone could create some kind of Internet scavenger hunt. The thing Hoarsewhisperer just did with the “Who’s that lady?” is a good example.

Here’s an idea. Create an official DodgeBoard Brick. Hide it somewhere and post clues. Whoever finds it has to hide it somewhere else and start posting a new set of clues. Potentially the game could continue indefinitely.

BTW, I went through McDonald's drive thru today and the DB Brick's still visible... dang-it... it slipped out.. I didn't mean to be a motor-mouth.
