I see your point and it makes perfect sense. There always has to be an abuser, huh? I agree. We don't want to set it any lower. I didn't know it was set as low as 5 - thought it was still up there a ways. Thanks for the quick response! You're still the greatest!

I think 5 is a fair number. The 20 at the beginning was pretty tough. As the board grows with active members, I could see raising it some, but I don't think anything over 10 would be good.

It's nothing more than a popularity contest you can wage anonymously. If someone doesn't agree with my post, I'd appreciate it more if they had the balls to say something in the forum.

It's better than a snide comment without the possibility of response.

Well I noticed that I hadn't passed 20 reps around before I could rep again. I did think there must have been some change didn't know it had gone down to 5. That number is OK but I do think with higher # of members maybe 10 would be fair. 20 was just too high for me...so I started repin in the replies like most of us did.

I think it's a fun feature - not always do I wanna respond with a post but I promise ya Wordy If I had sumthin to say I would sign my name - good or bad. (I got that from bubba)......

I like the rep thing and maybe in time it won't be a feature we want but thanks for making a tool we can play with for now.......

I must admit that I've been spanked a couple of times by the "anonymous" user. When that happens I post a reply to that snide comment in the open forum. Check the High School Traffic thread for one. Somebody thought I was being harsh with Will and was going to run him off the board. No signature to the comment, so I posted my response for all to see.

It's only anonymous if you want it to be. Personally, I sign all my rep comments when I give them out, good or bad. Although at first I might not have signed them all, it didn't take long for me to decide that I wasn't going to leave an anonymous comment.

Bubba, I was leaving a message on your/my rep thingie and it sent too early; so I just wanted to say that of all the Freedoms we enjoy here in the USA the one freedom we should lose is the freedom from being offended.

The last post I got to make across the street before being banned was that to enjoy freedom of speech we also must suffer with free speech.
