Technical Difficulties

I just found out that two of our modifications were broken by the new board upgrade to 3.7. As it turns out, the ajax scripting in the new version was not backwards compatible with these two modifications.

The two modifications are:

Radio and TV. The author has promised an update within the next week.

Links and Download Manager The author has published a fix which will be applied at the same time as the one above.

In addition, I have learned that users without java or users on mobile devices were not able to access any of the add-on features that are currently in the drop down menus at the top of the page. This issue also affected spiders and robots. To overcome this, I have included secondary links at the bottom of every page in the footer.

Pitfalls of Jargon

In some cases it is used to distinguish those belonging to a group from those who are not. This is sometimes called "guild" or "insider" jargon. Those unfamiliar with a subject can often be tagged by their incorrect use of jargon. The use of jargon by outsiders is considered by insiders to be audacious, since it constitutes a claim to membership of the insider group. Conversely, since outsiders may not see the reference made via jargon, they are all the more sensitive to its more visible elitist social framing. Jargon often comes across as pedantic, nerdy, and divorced from meaning to outsiders. (one of whom would be me)

The Radio and Tv and the Links Gallery are fixed!

Both these features are under the Fun Stuff menu. This includes the DodgeBoard Scanners.

NOTE: If you get a "Page Cannot be Displayed" error then you may have a old cached page- just hit the refresh (F5 key) and that should make it work.

I still can't get the radio to work. It was working before the update but not now.
