I kinda like both systems. The thanks/spanks allows everyone to see how many liked/disliked your post. The rep system allows you to know that someone liked/disliked your post, and why. Unfortunantly, the anonymous part of it is both good and bad. Good, because some prefer to give anonymous thanks, but at the same time, some people are gonna give harsh or more negative comments because they are anonymous. If the user is known, it will lessen the harshness of some of these attacks. Of course, those recieving negative comments must be adult enough to deal with it thru private communication, rather than thru the board. If they posted in rep, then they obviously didn't want it to become public debate.

I agree with you Dodgehighforeve. But people can't leave private things private.
The problems came from negative comments. When they were unsigned people would bring it up and if the rep system comes back then when someone gets a signed one it will be brought up as well. Hell, p.m.'s are being brought out into open forum.
This site did fine without the rep system, the old site did fine without the rep system and other sites have done fine without the rep system. Getting rid of the problem was a good choice Admin. Bringing it back would be a mistake.
