We have had no votes on this poll for three days now, therefore the poll has been closed.

While it did turn out to be a very divided result, it did appear that many members are interested in the new spanks/thanks feature, especially if it was altered slightly to a more mature Agree/Disagree type system. Therefore, last night I rewrote the phrases to Agree/Disagree as requested in this thread by several members. I also added some links in the users profile page to display Agreed/Disagreed posts. I am still working out some issues with the "Disagreed" links on the profile page and then will implement these features on the other skins. Currently, we have some "quickie" Agree/Disagree buttons in place but I will redesign them to get the font closer and the alignment, shading, and opacity fixed when time permits.

As far as the old rep system goes... I think the poll was close enough to consider its eventual lateral reimplementation with changes that would include the name of the members who gave the rep, but only after working out a method for clearing the database of the current rankings or unsigned negative rep comments. This way we would either start from scratch under the current rules or somehow clear the names of persons who gave negative rep under the previous expectation of anonymity. I'll experiment with some SQL queries that will accomplish this task.

While I realize that this may not make 100% of the members totally content, I hope this solution is acceptable to the member base majority. I believe and I hope you do too, that this solution offers the best of both worlds to you, our members.
