Protesting today

I sure hope those who did not show up to work got fired today. All the kids pulled from school should be required to make up the work.

I called the police to ask when it became legal to jaywalk in this town. I was told they are protesting. I said, that did not answer my question. Unless they have a parade permit, they can not block traffic....which they are still doing.

I want to protest the flying of a mexican flag in MY COUNTRY. I want to protest people not going to work and still keeping their jobs. I want to protest it all. But I can't. I have a job and I want to keep it.

I think those of us here legally should of marched too and told them where to take that Mexican flag they were waiving if that flag and country is so great let them go back and waive it. I would have had more compassion if all I saw was American flags and them marching. When I saw the Mexican flag all my compassion went out the window. Ask them what President Fox is doing for them.

I bet they did have a permit to protest. I can't believe marchin in DC??? Blockin traffic?......... On Wyatt Earp????.......... I bet not cause I don't think the semis would give a rats ass......... they probably would speed up.

I don't think if the "children" left school to protest that they should be allowed to make the work up.

They made a choice to leave the very "opportunity" they say they are entitled to. If that's the case.............. let them take zeros for the day. It's the CHOICE they made............... deal with it.......... too many excuses for too many criminals and thier supporters in my opinion. There is a way to protest - it's called writing the law makers. Hell these folks aren't even workin within the system they say they wanna be a part of............Jeezus.... my compassion is dwindeling rapidly....... all they are doin is causing and promoting a class distinction which is gonna make it worse for them in the longrun.............. Hell wanna be Americans???? Grow up and act like Americans............. show some respect!!

I actually went down to the "protest" today for about 30 minutes to see what it was all about. They held the "protest" of our laws at Wright Park. The park was so full that people were parking over by Applebees and walking. Not only were the police not handing out any jaywalking tickets (not sure why they would, they don't enforce that law) they were directing traffic on 2nd and the side streets going into the park so they were assisting with traffic flow. (wonder if they put any police on overtime for this at taxpayer expense...one more way we get gotten...lol) I saw quite a few Mexico flags but also quite a few American flags being flown. Just about everyone there was wearing a white shirt. There were people of all ages there, families with their children in strollers, school children, middle aged people and older people. I saw some people I know and not all of them are illegal. There were vehicles with stuff painted on the windows in support of whatever they are marching for. I took a couple pictures but I'll have to wait until I get home to post them. It looked like it was a pretty large turnout.

I hear May 1st is the official "hurt the American economy" day. The plan is to boycott all business to show America they have the power to hurt the economy.

I'm still missing what all this has to do with illegals.

If you let a town fill up with criminals and become reliant on them and then they boycott of course its going to hurt the town, but it still doesn't mean they should get amnesty. All it proves is you should never let a town fill up with criminals.

OK, so the news says "the polls" show that the majority of Americans feel they should get amnesty 49% Yes 43% No. My question is where are these Yes votes besides fellow Hispanics? Out of all the PRO "We don't need no stinkin laws" interviews only one was non-Hispanic. A farmer that says he couldn't stay in business if he had to pay what Americans want to do his farm labor. In the background was a huge barn with at least 2 new combines. Thats a small farmer?

What our CONgress Critters should do is enact Mexican Immigration legislation that perfectly reflects the laws that Mexico has for its Immigrants AND enforce those laws with the notification that we will relax our laws ONLY when Mexico does. THEN the protestors will know that they must RETURN TO MEXICO to protest their very own laws in order to gain a foothold here.

Oh wait. CONgress doesn't have the huevos to do something like that.
