| Well the Mafia has nothing on our local government when it comes to organized crime. Years ago we were bitching about local cheaters.. I mean leaders dragging their feet on building the SEC. We complained that this very scenario would happen and it did. Non we don't have enough money to build what should have been built years ago. Imagine that!!! So I guess there's nothing left but to pass the taxpayers money around to those who earned it.

| The city commisioners think they can spend and give away that money and the people have no say. I say vote them out and elect someone that will hold the DCRP and Boothill accountable for money spent. Do what the voters wanted or have a new vote. I wish Dalton would file something else or a appeal and let it go before someone else. If I had a business and couldn't pay my bills I would be closed down or have to reorganize and that is what needs done. |

| I've always said accountibility is the key to managing our city and it's tax dollars. IMO...that's something that is still lacking. DCRP is about to have a major face lift in the next year or so. (just my thoughts) By that, I mean in the form of management and more accountibility. Since we have great facilities at the Civic Center, Sheridan Center, DCRP we should utilize them to revitalize our local interest and our local economy. We have so many great things right here in Dodge City it would be a shame to see them thrown away and wasted! |

| If you really want to trace the downfall of Dodge City to one particular thing, Dodge City died when St. Mary of the Plains College shut down.

| Accountability is something that has been lacking for some years on the city commission board and I don't believe that it is easily assimilated in 6 months. I have said since the beginning that maybe a compromise could be had on the SEC. I like Tom Martin's idea. I don't like bailing out Boothill and DCRP but it seems like we are heading towards more accountability and scrutiny by the powers that be.
