I don't think Dodge would allow a good genteman's club - too much gossip goes on in Dodge to survive one. That's why the road from Wichita to Dodge is burned up all the time. Folks go to Wichita or Garden for the fun they seek - no body knows em there and they won't be the topic of conversation on Monday.

Here is an idea for the new All-4-Fun managers:

Keep the go-carts and track, BUT add the high speed go-karts like they have in KC (NasKarts?). These carts go fast and fueled by alcohol (supports new ethanol plant) and racing leagues could begin.

Keep the putt-putt, BUT improve it to the level that is fun (see Happy Gilmore/Caddyshack for ideas).

Get Rid Of the ball pit thingy and most of the games. REPLACE it with a skating rink that can double as a rollerblade hockey rink. This too, will support league play in winter months.

Keep the food place, BUT improve it to an open grill with more choices, AND sell alcohol (supports local distributors BUD/COORS, adds to excitment of go-cart races and hockey fights!).

Sounds like a lot of money spent to get it going...I would be willing to bet they don't spend a lot of money redoing the place. I wonder...if they DO spend a bunch of money where that money will come from. Maybe they will raise Lurkers property tax on his dog house to help pay....

To my knowledge, Garden City doesn't have one either. Anybody know something that I don't?

Unfortunately, public nudity is illegal in Dodge. No strip clubs allowed in the city. As the law reads, and it is a humerous one at that, "thong" type swimwear is also considered illegal.

Now, an indoor soccer field...........laugh if you want but I would bet it would bring in good money at little cost to build and maintain. My daughter was on a traveling team here in Dodge. We had to go to Wichita and other cities in order to play. You build one of those here and you would be amazed at how many teams, leagues, tourneyments and such it would bring. Again, though, it would all be hinged on how it was ran.
