| Wal(ofChina)Mart's '06 property tax increase is .0393% The weather outside is frightful so I thought I'd look at some Ford County Property tax information to cheer me up. I know how much the property tax on the doGhouse increased over last year and I took it like a doG. Surely the china depot on the hill had a comparable increase.. Well, I was wrong. 2006 is $329,172.90 2005 is $329,043.44 $129.46 The boys on the hill got a better deal. Their tax increase (for the whole year) was a whopping $129.46, or .0393%.

| Mine was $14.86 higher - altho mine have increased 58% since 97......... they gave me a reprieve in 99 they went down they have blasted me every year since.

| Well my house hasn't gone up 56% in value since the 90's.......... it's the taxes...... course actually the taxes aren't really all that bad - ya otta see our taxes down here - course we got lots to show for it. Somethin tells me if taxes were higher - only certain folks' profit and income would go up - I don't think they have been really responsible in using tax money to this point. I'm happy they aren't takin as much as they probably would like to have.

| I'm just one of the "fools" that rents. I will only be here about another year and I couldn't see buying a house..especially in Dodge where I would never be able to sell it for just 3 years.....
