| You can't have it both ways Just remember...If a business owner displays the NO GUN sign, then that business owner cannot have a concealed weapon either. By posting the sign, that invokes K.S.A. 75-7c11 Which clearly states that concealed firearms are forbidden on the premises by state law for everyone, not just the customer. Employees too. No where are customers and business owners defined seperately or regulated in a different manner. I guess what I am saying is..."If you post the no-gun sign as a proprietor, you better not have a gun hidden behind the counter" or else you may be breaking state law.

| Reciprocity What pisses me off is the whole "reciprocate" policy. States who honor other states CCH were supposed to get the same in return. Kansas honors a bunch of states that do not honor Kansas' CCH. Nevada, Nebraska, New Jersey and Hawaii, just to name a few. source

| We all hope your good fortune continues. I haven’t been so lucky.

| I respect everyone's right to their opinion and their right to express that opinion. Same goes for a person to be able to choose where to take their business. If I had a choice of two places that offer similar services and one has the "no gun" sign and the other does not, I will use the place that is more acceptable of my position (P.S. Not all CCH people are "gun nut idiots"). I too have been around for quite some time and have "traveled extensively", only my travels have not been to just tourist traps and trendy safe places. I have had to travel to places and areas that I would have felt a whole lot more comfortable had I been able to carry at the time. As had been said earlier, common sense can help, but sometimes that can take you only so far. When things get bad and it comes to getting hurt or giving it I'll take the giving side. My opinion also stays unchanged! |

| macdaddy I've experienced one home invasion and three burglaries in my life, all in Dodge and all within the last 5 years. I only wish my sister that was viciously raped and beaten last year here in Dodge while out jogging was as lucky as you, macdaddy. I wish that my close female friend was as lucky as you and had not been beaten and raped and front of her 2 children a few years back. I can only wonder how things would have been had they been able to protect themselves. How many times does it take? There comes a time when you are foolish not to protect yourself. Still, I am happy that you have been so fortunate. I am fairly sure that had fate dealt you a different hand, you might think differently.
