| Bubba, I’ll disagree about a criminal not caring about a no gun sign on a door. He does care! A no gun sign means that there is no armed resistance inside and he can do whatever he wants without fear because he is the only one with a gun.

You will also notice when I have answered your posts, I have never used all capitals or big bold letters. I have not even called you names or made derogatory remarks about you or your opinion. That is more than I can say for you judging by the remark you made to me above. As far as civil liberties, I may be wrong but when I was in the military, it was understood that the military would fight for your civil liberties. Let me know the next time you watch Full Metal Jacket, I will glady let you play with my "gun." Don't worry, I'll leave my pistol at home.

| mac It reads to me like you are TRYING to get an angry post aimed at you. You seem dissappointed that nobody's turning rabid and calling you names instead of just dissecting and refuting your posts. Just my observation.

| I will admit, that it almost got me to post something that I probably would regret. But, I decided I wouldn't stoop to his level of name calling. I bit my tongue and cooled down for a minute before I started typing.

| From letters to the editor in the CJ today. Background: There were shots fired inside the Westridge Mall a couple of weeks ago. Nobody hit but a lot of people rattled. Outlaws have guns, too So, there was a shooting inside West Ridge Mall. Didn't the thugs who opened fire inside the mall read the "no-guns" signs? The signs are there to keep people from bringing firearms in, right? The fact is, only people who follow the rules obey the postings. Next time you enter a store with a "no-guns" sign on it, realize there are still people with hidden guns walking beside you, and they're exactly the people you don't want to be armed. All the responsible, licensed folks left thier means of protection at home. BRIAN KAYSER, Topeka

| No quite the opposite. I really am a mild mannered person. I was expressing my point of view. Just like veryone else on this board. I never accused you Highway of posting in all cap bold, but if you will review page 11 of this discussion thread you will note Bubba making his point in that manner. That is where my statement came from. I am cool with the fact being we don't agree. or we agree to disagree. The simple point is some find it hard to let go the fight. (I am probably one of those but not the only one on this board.) Tell me I am wrong again. Everyone will read into any post what they most want to hear. |

| OK, who said "Rats Ass"!?!?!? That offends me, because I know some "Rats" and some "Asses"!! Butt to merge the two into one big "Ratsass", well, that's just not right!!! And what about "Rats a$$hole"?? That's another hole problem. As George Carlin said, "That's rats a$$hole, Dave"--------"Oh boy, give me a whole lot of it"!!! By the way, I heard that Burger King allows concealed carry; so you don't have to have a Mac--Daddy!! ![]() |

| Funny, I just looked on page 11 and find no post where I posted in all cap bold. Just because I chose a larger text size, I still followed all the correct capitalization rules associated with the English language, to the best of my knowledge anyway. If you will pay particular attention to the last line of my signature line, it was written in the same size text as that. Notice that the post on page 11 looks just like the question on my signature line. That is not bold. The answer is in bold text of the same size. There is a difference, and my post was neither all caps nor all bold. Again, macdaddy assumes too much and relays misinformation as fact.
