The City Wants to Pass its own Gun Laws

First of..

I'm not saying Carrying guns is wrong. But it's ridiculous to say that by posting a sign saying, I DO NOT WANT YOUR GUN IN MY BUSINESS, you are opening an invitation to have your business burglarized/vandalized.

It's called respect people. Teach it to your kids, show it to your neighbors. I know it's a burden, but give it a whirl.

The truth of the matter is... people don't fear the guns, they fear the (possible) idiots carrying the guns. Just because you have a piece of paper saying you took a class, doesn't mean you're educated to the fullest and able to handle what you learned. (See My Drivers License).

True. You might notice there are NO FIREARMS signs at the hospital. It's not that they are for or against CC, but that an incident a few years back require it.

Did you know taking a firearm into a public place is not a crime unless its posted? You might remember when some lady brought a rifle into the hospital? There was an attempt to prosecute but unless she threatened someone or a no carry sign was posted she broke no laws.

Why the hell would you need a gun at the hospital anyways? You waiting on the dead people in the morgue to come back to life and try to eat your brains?


Maybe they can pass a law on common sense.. and see how far that gets them.

The problem is that the law abiding gun carrying citizen will leave his gun outside the establishment that is posted, but the criminal that wants to cause fear and mayhem will not abide by the posted sign and come in to rob the place because he knows that nobody else in there is carrying.

It would be wonderful if we could all live such a charmed life as to have never been the victim of a violent crime.

Some of us haven't been that lucky Choo and I hope you gontinue to never have to stare down the barrel of someone's illegal firearm and never be stabbed or threatened in any way.

I'm legal and I carry whenever I can because it's always better to have it and not need it than to end up bleeding in Target Parking lot wishing you'd have shot the bastard.

Well, I'm not saying I've never had problems before. I'm just saying, I don't think the solution to violence is more violence. What about time outs and group hugs?

Yeah....let's do that. Group hugs. I can see it now. Ya know, it probably would throw the criminal off his game so much, he'd walk away!!! I don't advocate violence and I know that violence begets violence, I just don't totally agree laying down and allowing criminals to walk all over me because they're carryin' and I'm not.
