Is this really Dodge City,Ks.

Feel the excitement, live the history, experience the warmth. Surprise yourself with plenty of sunshine and pleasant, forested rolling hills. And experience growth unequaled by any other Western Kansas city.

Dodge City is a bustling center of business surrounded by quiet, shady neighborhoods and filled with historic buildings, famous landmarks and a bubbling history of colorful personalities. An ideal place to call your Heartland home, Dodge City is a magical mixture of Western hospitality and fresh, innovative thinking.

This progressive spirit has been the source of the city’s inspiration since its early days. Dodge City has gracefully combined Western heritage with sound business policies to make it one of the nation’s most desirable hometowns. We’d like to have you see why we know our town should be your town.

Well it sounds like the chambers need to update the info like "Welcome to historic Dodge City now home of illegalville" (aka :little mexico)

before you blast me understand that I don't have a problem with immigrants that come here the way they should (legally) I do have a problem in becoming a US citizen minority!

The Chamber and others do have rose colored lenses in when viewing this town. I've been trying to talk a friend of mine up from Texas for our Fourth of July and such. He called me the other day all excited b/c Dodge looks like such a nice place in the photos online. Green trees, green lawns, no litter, just beautiful. I thought I was laughing to myself when he was talking to me until he asked what I thought was so funny.

There are lots of those kinda towns in KS - just not Dodge anymore. Thank the packing houses for the state of things as they are now. Economics and progress just aren't what folks think they are - are they? Promises and more promises. Everything got better - but for who? Real hard to put prosperity into a small dying town. I do think Dodge did what they thought was best at the time. I think it's time to re evaluate tho. Time for a new money man in town I would say. Ya ever notice how all those folks that think Dodge is so much better off live way north of the riff raff they bring in? Sad just sad.

Come one now that is commercial marketing at its finest. Do you think if they had told the truth about Dodge it would make anyone wanna visit or move here? No that's why they have to sugar coat it abit.

Err...Alot
