How to get rid of Why Not Dodge sales tax

Many of you were involved in the petition to vote out the huge Why Not Dodge ? sales tax. The Wichita Judge said you could not until the Events Center is built.

Now that the county/city CFAB have decided to build a much smaller,
$ 6-8 million Events/Expo Center, down by the race track -- no, there haven't been public meetings, but you voters just pay and be quiet -- as soon as an inch of dirt is moved for the Events/Expo Center down south, get your petition back up and move forward.

The judge can't expect TWO events centers, can he ?

Just a thought if the CFAB Ford County pushes thorough their un-reviewed mini-Events Expo Center. Since the Casino location won't be decided for months and months -- maybe a year -- hey, Judge, we going to build a smaller events center.

Done. End of tax. All paid for. Move forward.......... Just a thought.

Yes, it has been almost 10 years. 10 years of people like you and me paying our sales tax without seeing the promised results.

10 years ago I did not vote for the sales tax, because WND was ill-concieved and I had a feeling it would be mis-managed. (which it has)

Ill-concieved in the fact that the tax exsists without a sunset. (It will never expire!) Ill-concieved in the fact that it took away from the city and county a .5% sales tax that was used to improve and repair our streets. (No more sales tax for street and road improvement!) Ill-concieved in the fact no guidelines were laid out for a time frame for projects. Ill-concieved in that the four original projects were so vague that the city and county could do whatever they wanted with the money. (like give it to their friends; mis-management)
