| This is nothing compared to the heat you will take as a public servant, eunuch. Been there, done that already! Instead of beating around the bush, it is best to just be honest with your feelings, and you can sleep well at night! |

| Kinda like a "conversation" in the show "The Wire" The incoming Mayor asked the outgoing Mayor what the job was like. He told him something like he better like to eat sh!t. The new Mayor said what? Then he said that being Mayor that somebody walks through your door with a big bowl of sh!t and then as soon as you finish it, in walks another person with another big bowl of sh!t!

| No hidden identity I came here the other day because someone told me my name was here. Since I don't believe in saying things behind peoples backs, I used my own name. My first response to seeing some of the rude things being said about me was to assume that "USAs" comments were representative of everyone here. I decided to randomly read through many different posts, and I see that this forum is very disersified, and it is no more fair for me to judge you all on the rude comments of one, than it is for one to anonymously post judgements or erroneous facts about me. Anyway, since I am here, and this post is supposed to be about the city commision race, I'll give you my biased opinion about Brian. I have noticed Brian to be a very unselfish person since he was 2 years old and would give his brother his only cookie. I have actually tried to talk Brian out of entering any kind of politics because of the frustrations and flak that often go with it. I'm not sure any of us really know what motivates us to do the things we do, but Brian says he has a sincere desire to help make the world a better place. I believe that he does desire this. As far as how he will do? I know he has integrity. I consider that to be a major plus. I know he wants to do what he perceives will help the community, as he is very vested in it himself. I know that he is willing to take the time to research the things he will need to know. As far as understanding the value of money and making ends meet; Brian chose to go to college and I chose to not provide him with living expenses. He spent those 4 years living on a very meager budget while working several part time jobs. Even with limeted time he chose to serve Neuman University as Student body president and the Young Republicans. Unashamedly Mike Weber |

| Thanks Mike, I know often my view of politics, and politicians, can be very dim as well as my comments. I do realize they are a required evil, if you will, and that for the most part have our best interests in mind. I just wanted to say, I for one appreciate you coming here at the chance of being made a target and expressing your opinion. These forums can at times be very distasteful toward some, and it takes a genuine belief in what one says to dare the hunters. Thanks again.

| Ditto. I agree with Detector. Mike, I am sorry if I came across as "dissin" Brian. I assure you that my first inclination about voting for someone so young and from a wealthy family, has been echoed by many that I have spoken to. I am sure that Brian relishes the opportunity to know and answer the candid feelings of those constituents he will be representing. After all, he'll be getting a lot of that in the office that he holds, should he get elected. Get used to "rude" things being said. That's part of having a high profile business in a small town and running for political office. I would still like to hear Brian's plan for controlling spending and giving us tax payers some relief from the tax and spend commissioners previously in office. More directly, (specifically) how will Brian get our mil levy in line with other towns the size of Dodge City? I would like to hear his plan. Not just..."he'll research it and make the right choices."

| It admirable for a dad to come to the defense of his son. Altho in politics ya got to be careful. Comments on this board are just comments. In politics you need to choose your battles wisely. General rule of thumb I think would be to read and learn. Make a true difference and keep an eye on the pulse of potential voters and adjust your campaign accordingly. Perhaps it would be better if some of the candidates in any race were more to the point and not so vague. It's sad when a young candidate already knows how to sidestep the questions and is playing political games with empty answers. Specificity would just be refreshing to many I bet. Course I'm not a voter just a home owner. I still care about who's in office and I care about what they stand for. I just can't do anything about who they are because of where I live. I hope he runs a campaign that leaves little room for wondering what he stands for and what his plans are - now that would be something new and refreshing!
