i think it is rather odd that each of the comm's candiates wimped out on the illegal problems of this city. just let someone deal with it. do we really need a commission that WILL NOT DO A THING ABOUT IT? Write in AOO, detector, and mike B. thing will get done.

They have my vote, if they are willing to run. Damn, I forgot, I can't vote! Well, I guess I can get me some "false identification" from the illegals so I can vote.

I think that the home addresses, phone numbers and names of Excel management and National management would be a start. Then everyone in Dodge that wants a change in the employment of illegals would have the correct persons to change it. (oh, I know that they say -- 'we didn't know' -- )

Is this a plan ?

I know Army, but you're spinning out of control. We can't affectively deport every illegal in Dodge (probably more than 1/3 of everyone you see at Wal*Mart). We can't join Wordy and mow-em-down (although I bought Wordy's XD-40-sub). So, we have to come to some rational solution. If you made the final decision - what would you really do.

IMO - I'd offer up a set of Amnesty rules - this is it, take or run. Bet me, most would accept the deal - after all, they make more in 1-hour in Dodge than they ever made in a day. I'd take the deal!!

Good luck with that. I couldn't even get ahold of the owner of the freaking McDonalds here.

I went through a Mcdonalds the other day and it had a big sign on the corner by the drive through with the owners name and phone number for anyone to call with problems. In Dodge it's just the opposite. It would probably be easier to contact President Bush.

I also took Wordy's advice and bought and XD-40 Sub. I love it. I bought mine in KC at Cabella's.

WHat would I do....first of all I wouldn't do ANYTHING that included the word AMNESTY or COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM...(Amnesty).

I would do pretty much what they have done in Oklahoma. With the bill those great leaders passed in OK a lot of the illegals are "self deporting" either to other states (Tx, Ks) or back to Mexico.

Rhetoric -- not. Simple statement of facts -- is.

There were no politics in the site I linked to about taxes. It simply stated the facts about the difference between progressive and regressive tax structures. Those are not 'political' labels. Those are the names of the types of taxes. Those are the names in dictionaries.

Read up on economics, rather than just react. (always liked 'knee-jerk' as a label for your type of answer.)

Amnesty my A$$. Any form of amnesty is unacceptable period. You don't reward criminals for breaking the law.

Why now are we responsible for "deporting" them? Thats the problem, we have been responsible for feeding them, housing them, giving them free health care and jobs, and now we think it's our responsibility to take them back home? I don't think so!

Just as AoO said we should do what Oklahoma has done and let them deport themselves. What we have now is a game of hot potato. Last one to pass the bill gets screwed. As the illegals run from one state that passes the bill and to another that hasn't it only gets that much harder to get'r done.
