Close, I found out it is $100 per week/paid bi-weekly which comes to $5200/yr. or $433.33/month. Not something a person would get rich on for sure. You would really have to believe in helping out the city, because there isn't much financial incentive to become a commissioner.

If I remember correctly... they also get family health insurance at no cost.
That would be the incentive to run.

not enough?
as i recall, not very many years ago, one of our female commissioners was getting food stamps. anyone recall when? or whom?, or was that a perk?

OH...there is PLENTY of financial incentive...lol You are in on most transactions the city does and who they do them with. Do you think there is anything going on behind closed doors where someone would profit?
