| Thats right, Mag. That also reminded me of his diversion program. He has a special fund (all CA's do actually) to help fund his department. The more diversions he grants (at inflated prices) the more money he makes for his dept. People are usually more than happy to take a diversion at twice the price and he gets the difference. Not to pay employees with, of course. So what happened to putting crooks in the penitentiary? Didnt his ad say......."honesty and integrity" ????? LMAO what a joke he is! |

| This was taken from tonights Online Hutch News Ford voters select Malone as county attorneyDODGE CITY – Terry Malone’s promise of improving the image of the county attorney’s office while boosting law enforcement efforts resonated with Ford County voters, who selected him in the primary election by a more than 3-to-1 margin over incumbent John Sauer. “I feel gratified that the voters saw the same thing I did – that we needed a change in the direction of the office,” Malone said late Tuesday after being informed of his 909 to 281 victory over Sauer. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to have a chance to win the office in the general election.” Malone, who is currently the Dodge City prosecutor and plans to keep that position if elected in November, said his wide margin of victory won’t necessarily translate to the general election and that it will be a tough campaign against Democrat Larry Daniels. “Mr. Daniels will be a formidable opponent,” Malone said. “We’re good friends and I think we have many of the same philosophies.” Malone, who said he planned a quiet celebration with his wife and son at home, said he will continue to spread his message to the public. “The next step is to get out and talk to the voters and the public and share my vision for how I believe a very, very important office should be operated,” Malone said.

| I'm sure that Malone will do a great job. I'm just curious though... How does one do two full-time jobs for two employers? Does he work 16 hours a day and get the same full county salary + the full city salary; does he work half of his day for the city, half for the county and get half pay for each; or, does he work half for each and get paid for a full days job at both? I am pretty sure If I told my boss that I am going to work a second job while running my normal calls, and still expect the full time pay, that he'd tell me to jump off a cliff.

| congrats to Terry Malone You raise some good points, Tee! I would think the thing to do would be to let Brad Ralph (the only remaining lawyer in Malone's law firm) do the city prosecutions. Malone would still make money from the firm and could devote all his energies to the CA office. Just a thought, but I dont really know how legal eagles do that sort of thing. again......congrats to Terry Malone. I, for one, thank you for stepping forward to help us get rid of one huge turd! |

| Congrats to all of you for a sweet victory over Sauer.

| I'm thinking that is pretty poor reporting by the Hutch News. It makes you think that Malone already has the job by reading the first sentance. What the voters did yesterday was select Malone as the Republican Candidate for the the General Election against the Democratic candidate, Larry Daniels. Malone even talks a little about it toward the end of the article.
